Multi Skilled HGV Driver Class C+E and D Opportunity

Driver Require Dartford are supporting an established client based on Flanders Farm, Hoo, Kent with the search for this multi skilled driver opportunity which will secure the right candidate a permanent position.

Rates of Pay

£16.80 per hour

Overtime paid at £21.00 per hour.

The Opportunity

This is a multi skilled roll requiring Category D and C+E on your driving licence. You will start your day by ensuring the pickers on this farm are delivered to their location of work, then you will deliver produce into supermarkets in a Class 1 vehicle. This opportunity is a full time 40 hour contract opportunity with OT paid of hours worked in excess of 40 at an enhanced rate.

Your day will start between 05:00/08:00 and you will be placed into a rolling rota so flexibility is a key requirement for this opportunity. The rota works out at 5 days on 1 day off, 5 days on 2 days off, this will involve early starts and open to work across all days of the week.

You will be working with a range of vehicles and trailers mainly Class 1 and Coach vehicles and will pull different trailers such as fridges, containers and curtain siders. You will load and unload the Class 1 vehicle with the aid of electric pump trucks, there is no hand ball all electric pallet work. Your deliveries will be across the country into leading supermarket brands with your fresh produce and you will return to base on a daily basis. If nights out are required you will receive an additional package in your pay.

Recruitment Process

You will be screened and registered by the driver require specialist team and then complete a face to face interview, driving assessment and induction on-site with the client.

Candidate Requirements

• HGV Class 1 driver licence C+E- need all cards valid.
• PSV/ Coach Class D licence.
• No more than 6 points - no majors accepted
• No DD DR IN10 TT99 or other majors 

All candidates will provide a CV and a comprehensive 5 years working history without gaps that can be explained if required. References will need to be provided from previous employers.
